Chance Elliott is Director of Automation at Amyris Inc. and has 20+ years of laboratory automation experience across a variety of biotechnology and instrumentation firms including Amgen, Cytokinetics, and Agilent. He has spent the last seven years at Amyris applying industrial engineering techniques to synthetic biology to accelerate the commercialization of renewable chemicals produced from sustainable sources. He received his BS in Chemistry from the University of Colorado.
Jefferson Lai is an Application Scientist at Labcyte, where he focuses on synthetic biology and NGS applications of the Labcyte Echo. Jefferson is a veteran of Amyris and Intrexon, and his work on yeast central metabolism appears in Nature. He earned his microbial biology degree from UC Berkeley.
