Zack Abbott is the founder and CEO of ZBiotics, a company working to develop practical applications of synthetic biology. After completing his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan, he founded ZBiotics, a company using genetic engineering to build new probiotics that could help solve everyday problems in unique ways. ZBiotics has subsequently launched the world's first and the world's second genetically engineered products to go to market: Pre-Alcohol Probiotic to help people land on their feet the next day after drinking alcohol, and Sugar-to-Fiber Probiotic convert small amounts of sugar from the diet into prebiotic fiber directly inside the gut. Zack works with a talented team, ultimately aiming to make biotechnology more accessible and useful in people's daily lives.
