Stephanie Marrus has facilitated the start of numerous companies based on UCSF science and medicine and is a key node in the Silicon Valley ecosystem. Her global entrepreneurship education program for professionals has reached 27 countries on six continents since 2020.Prior to joining UCSF, she had an extensive business career that included C-suite roles in private life science companies, working for venture capitalist-led Boards and holding management positions in public companies. She has mentored and judged hundreds of early stage companies. She is a member of the US State Department’s International Speaker Program, has delivered policy recommendations at the White House, has been affiliated with entrepreneurship programs at UC Berkeley and Stanford and is published in Nature. She holds an AB from Cornell University, MA from Columbia University and MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
