Stephanie Batchelor is the Director of the Biofutures program at Schmidt Futures, an effort focused on maximizing the potential of biotechnology toward a circular bioeconomy. In this role, Stephanie leads scientific and technical aspects of the program and helps with overall program design and implementation. Previously, Stephanie served as Vice President at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and member of BIO’s Executive Leadership Team. She specialized in providing policy, regulatory, and strategic guidance to the technology companies across BIO’s membership, driving key climate and sustainability initiatives, and leading advocacy efforts that shifted sector paradigms over her thirteen years with the organization. Stephanie holds a Master of Arts in International Relations/Politics from New York University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History from the State University of New York at Albany.
