Dr. Sara Tejedor-Sanz is a Senior Fermentation Engineer at the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit (ABPDU) of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She is currently the technical leader of several DOE-funded projects focused on carbon dioxide utilization. She has over 12 years of experience in biotechnology, specifically in microbial electrochemistry, wastewater treatment and fermentation processes. She holds a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from University of Alcalá and she conducted postdoctoral studies at Imdea Water Institute (Spain) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She is an author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and patents with public and private organizations. Part of her work has focused on studying the design and operational strategies to scale bioreactor configurations for merging electrochemical and biological processes.
