Mathew is a research scientist at Watchmaker Genomics in Boulder, Colorado, where he has developed a sophisticated high-throughput fermentation optimization workflow that no longer uses test tubes, flasks or SDS-PAGE gels for analysis.  Instead, they use the RoboLector from Beckman Coulter Life Sciences which provides reliable and scalable data.  This in conjunction with the LabChip instrument from Revvity and JMP statistical software, makes for a robust, modern fermentation workflow.  Mathew holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Molecular Biology from Colorado State University.  In his free time, he enjoys carpentry, attending live music, nerding out over games and acquiring new hobbies.
