Luciano Bueno

Luciano Bueno is a recognized entrepreneur on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, which brings together young people under 30 with the potential to impact the world. Brazilian who lives in the US is the Founder of GALY, a startup that produces agriculture from cells in a facility, not plants on a field. In 2015, he was selected to study at Draper University in Silicon Valley and came up with the idea that resulted in Horvath Co. This startup uses nanotechnology to create a stain, odor, and wrinkle-resistant “super wear.” In 2015, he received an investment from investor Tim Draper to put an idea into practice. Tim also invested in his new venture, GALY. After three years leading a company, he received the Greencard EB-1, focused on people with extraordinary abilities who are invited to live in the US to create high-impact projects in the country. At the beginning of his career at Deloitte, he worked with more than 15 companies in the auditing and consulting areas; he later entered the world of Venture Capital, selling ten startups in a deal of R$130M and raising ~$100M for the 2nd unicorn in Brazil that made its IPO on the NASDAQ stock exchange. In addition, Luciano is part of the founding time of Singularity University in Brazil, one of the most significant initiatives in innovation and exponential technologies on the planet. He was jointly responsible with HSM for drafting the entire business plan to bring an initiative to the recently announced country. Luciano has an undergrad in business, with a post-graduate in biotechnology at MIT and OPM at Harvard Business School, and multiple executive courses around the globe in universities such as Stanford Business School, UC DAVIS, UC San Diego, Babson Graduate School, Novancia Business School Paris. Finally, in his spare time, he conducts pro-bono activities to “return” to society, serving in the past as an ambassador of Draper University and the American Red Cross working in fires and natural disasters.
