Kaan Certel is the Global Head of Oncology External Innovation at Sanofi, where he leads a team of senior level professionals to identify and assess potential in-licensing and collaboration opportunities to strengthen the Oncology pipeline. His prior experience includes small molecule discovery at X-Chem Pharmaceuticals and antibody discovery at X-Body Biosciences, which is now a part of Bristol Myer Squibb, in oncology, immunooncology, and automimune disease therapeutic areas.  Kaan received a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Iowa and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT.
