Jory Bell is a General Partner at Palo Alto based early stage deep tech VC Playground Global. With $1.2B AUM, Playground invests in sectors such as: engineered biology, next-gen compute, AI, robotics, and decarbonization.

Jory earned 3 undergraduate degrees from MIT and subsequently spent several years working at MIT as a climate change researcher.

Drawn to the Bay Area by his passion for entrepreneurial technology, Jory spent six years at Apple as a product designer. Jory left Apple to found OQO, a mobile computing hardware and software company.

Jory joined Playground in 2015 and spearheads the firm’s engineered biology practice.
