Ben Steil is a Senior Product Development Scientist at Daicel Arbor Biosciences, a genomics and synthetic biology company. He has training in molecular biology, virology, and cell-free expression systems.  Ben has been involved in the research and development of multiple products at Daicel Arbor, including myTXTL a cell-free protein expression system based on E. coli. Most recently in a business development role, he has helped maintain and build collaborative projects with customers to help them reach their goals using the myTXTL system. Ben is very interested in the intersection of cell-free systems, protein engineering and the increasing speed and power of computational design to usher in novel proteins for therapeutics, biocatalysis, and materials.
