Angel Franco is an experienced microbiologist who obtained his doctoral degree from the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen, Germany. He has worked on diverse projects including research on microbial ecology and bacterial physiology. He also worked with Prof. Miriam Rosenbaum in Jena, Germany, as a Postdoc to investigate the physiology of electroactive bacteria. Dr Franco has led screening, optimization, and scale-up efforts of aerobic and syngas fermentations as well as projects focused on the heterologous production of value- added chemicals in electro-fermentations. In 2023, he joined H.E.L Group, a leading manufacturer of customized solutions for automated bioprocess development and chemical synthesis applications. He currently supports the company’s expansion into new territories and the customers' technical challenges in bioprocess development.
