Inari has officially opened a new 42,000-square-foot facility in West Lafayette, Indiana, marking the company’s largest expansion to date. The $20 million investment is set to accelerate the development and commercialization of higher-yielding seeds, addressing the growing market demand for sustainable agriculture.

The new facility enhances Inari's capacity to leverage its SEEDesign™ technology platform, which integrates AI-powered predictive design with advanced multiplex gene editing. This innovative approach is aimed at creating products that contribute to food security, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of farmers. The West Lafayette site now serves as a critical hub for Inari’s product development and commercial operations, translating research from the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and its Ghent, Belgium site into tangible solutions for the agricultural sector.

"This expansion ushers in an exciting new phase for Inari as we scale up to deliver our breakthrough products to seed customers," CEO Ponsi Trivisvavet said. "Not only does it optimize and accelerate our operations, the expanded capacity and capabilities allow us to address more crops and crop varieties."

The expansion includes a significant increase in greenhouse facilities, featuring state-of-the-art LED lighting and environmental controls, alongside additional office and warehouse space. This development is expected to boost the employee base in West Lafayette, which already comprises about half of Inari’s more than 300 global team members.

As Inari continues to grow, the new facility underscores the company's commitment to pioneering advancements in agriculture that ensure a sustainable future for the planet.
