Kura Biotech, a pioneering leader in enzyme development, seeks a passionate Technical Advisor in Protein Engineering to join our dynamic team. This remote part-time role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in enzyme discovery and engineering for diverse applications in toxicology and genomics. 

Who you are:

• A highly motivated scientist with a Ph.D. in Protein Engineering or a related field (or an advanced degree with extensive experience).
• An active contributor to academia with a proven track record of developing new technologies.
• An expert in directed evolution, rational design, and bioinformatics analysis, with a strong grasp of classic and cutting-edge techniques.
• A team player with excellent communication skills, ready to collaborate across disciplines and foster a culture of continuous learning.

What You'll Do:

• Provide expert guidance and support in enzyme discovery and engineering.
• Lead strategic initiatives utilizing our proprietary Cantera™ platform.
• Contribute to research platform development for standardized protein engineering.
• Champion innovation and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Mentor and guide Protein Engineering and Bioinformatics teams.
• Identify opportunities for adaptation and conduct feasibility studies.
• Actively participate in group discussions and contribute to patent applications.

Work Arrangements:

• This is a remote part-time position. The specific work schedule will be agreed upon with your direct manager to ensure a good work-life balance.

Travels:

• Occasional visits to our headquarters in Patagonia will be required. Kura Biotech will cover reasonable travel expenses, including plane tickets and accommodation.
