What we're looking for
We are seeking an exceptional Protein Engineering Scientist to join our R&D team. The scientist will select and express optimal isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway enzymes for polyisoprene production, and apply enzyme engineering techniques to improve performance and production capacity.

Responsibilities
- Generate hypotheses and predictions about relationships between protein sequence, structure, and function based on software data
- Perform rational design of large libraries for high-throughput experimental characterisation such as activity screens and assays
Qualifications
Hard skills
- Protein design in silico using Rosetta or similar, rational design of proteins
- Activity assay design, generation of large plasmids libraries to assess with high throughput screening methods
- Pathway optimisation in vitro and in vivo
- Bonus: analytical chemistry knowledge, experience using HPLC, NMR, SEC etc
