Creative Biology Writer

Lee's Lab

Seeking Writers for an IMAX & Fulldome Biology Adventure

We’re developing a world-class, visually stunning animated film for IMAX and giant screens—and we’re looking for the right writer(s) to help bring it to life.

The story follows Lee, a 14-year-old science adventurer exploring bioluminescence in the Borneo jungle. It’s a character-driven journey into the wonders of molecular biology and biodiversity—think Pixar-style heart meets jaw-dropping science. Our aim is to spark curiosity and wonder in audiences of all ages.

With early support from IMAX and science centers around the world, award-winning biomedical animator Drew Berry involved, and creative talent with backgrounds at Pixar and DreamWorks onboard, the project is backed by a team deeply committed to combining exceptional storytelling with scientific discovery. We believe this film has the potential to shine a bright light on the Century of Biology.

We’re currently speaking with a few phenomenal candidates, but we’re also extending the search to our community. If you know an experienced writer who can craft a compelling, emotional, and entertaining science-driven adventure—or if that person might be you—we’d love to hear from you.

This is also a unique opportunity for investors and science advocates to support a film designed to inspire generations. We’re building something special: a true “Pixar of Biology.”
