Hi, my name is John, and I am the founder of SynBioBeta.
I began my science career at NASA Ames, in the heart of Silicon Valley, seeking answers to how humans could live to visit the far reaches of our universe.
I began to see how technology was enabling the forward-engineering of biology—and that this would be the most profound change of the 21st century.
Today, we call this synthetic biology. It’s the convergence of computation, automation, and the ability to read/write/edit biology that enables us to design and build biological solutions to many of the world’s biggest challenges.
It offers solutions to the health of people and the planet, and it’s fueling what McKinsey predicts will be a $4 trillion global bioeconomy by 2040.
I believe entrepreneurship can lift people out of poverty and can stimulate a new bio-industrial revolution, creating products and services to fulfill people's lives and bring lasting changes to our economy and civilization for thousands of years to come.
That is why I created The Bioeconomy Hub. An exclusive platform that gives you, the individuals committed to improving the universe with biology, everything you need to bring your projects to life and succeed in the fast-growing bioeconomy.
Today, I want to invite you to join our exclusive community of bio-entrepreneurs, companies, investors, researchers, visionaries, and thought leaders who are shaping the future of humanity.
