Christian Olsen – Field Application Scientist
Christian has been a Field Application Scientist at Biomatters for the past 2 years. He provides scientific support for the Geneious sequence analysis platform. First released in 2005, Geneious is one of the world’s leading bioinformatics platforms, used by over 2,500 universities, institutes, and commercial companies in more than 65 countries. Geneious provides intuitive software tools for synthetic biologists to design, synthesize, and engineer sequence data via a simple user interface.
Prior to joining Biomatters, Christian worked in the bioinformatics core at Seattle Biomed, collaborated with EupathDB and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, and hunted for drug targets at the Seattle Structural Genomics Center for Infectious Disease. Christian is passionate about data science and helping others with their research challenges.
