Brynne Stanton – Biological Engineer
Brynne Stanton joined Ginkgo BioWorks in January of 2014. At Ginkgo BioWorks, custom designed microbes are produced for a range of industries using an integrated technology platform including custom hardware, software, and wetware. As a Biological Engineer at Ginkgo BioWorks, Brynne oversees wetware operations and contributes across organism engineering projects. Brynne was a postdoctoral associate under Chris Voigt in the Department of Biological Engineering at MIT, and earned her PhD in Christina Hull’s lab from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Biomolecular Chemistry. Her primary research interests include engineering biology and implementing synthetic regulatory control of gene expression across a broad range of host organisms spanning from microbes to mammals.
