Amy Tayler – Knowledge Transfer Manager

Amy is the KTN’s Knowledge Transfer Manager for synthetic biology, and coordinates the Synthetic Biology Special Interest Group (SynBio SIG). She also supports the activity of the Synthetic Biology Leadership Council (SBLC), which provides a steering structure and governance body to implement and coordinate the UK’s synthetic biology strategic plan. Together these activities strive to stimulate an economically vibrant, diverse and sustainable UK synthetic biology ecosystem that is both cutting edge and of clear public benefit.

Prior to joining the  KTN team, Amy managed a range of academic-industry partnerships at BBSRC, providing her with broad experience of the collaborative funding landscape from both the academic and industrial perspective. Amy has a PhD in molecular bacteriology from the University of Bristol.​
