Press ReleaseWe are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Information Systems & Software group. This is a full-time position, to which you would devote substantially all your professional effort. We are looking for a candidate who can identify, document, and execute test cases for a variety of software packages. The role requires an experienced candidate with a strong technical background, strong written and verbal communication skills, who can deliver results to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance testing of multiple software platforms including the customer facing Inscripta Engineering Portal (IEP), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and reagent tracking systems
- Quality assurance testing and documentation of laboratory automation software to control robotics and peripheral devices in a controlled laboratory environment
- Development of automated test scripts
- Assist internal users with use of software as needed
- Such other matters as may be determined by yourself and the Company
We seek an individual with a successful track record who must be comfortable with a start-up environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of work experience in testing web-based and Windows-based software applications involving a graphical user interface against complex business requirements and rules
- Experience in developing excellent user acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
- Experience writing software test plans and test reports
- Experience writing comprehensive bug reports using software bug/feature request tracking systems
- Demonstrated competency in using PC software including MS Office and email
- Experience scripting and implementing automated test suites is a plus
- Experience with Agile Scrum or Agile Kanban methodologies is a plus
- Experience with relational database systems and some knowledge of SQL is a plus
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Life Sciences is preferred
