Synbionik is an innovative and expanding biotech start-up that specializes in the production of natural substances through biosynthesis. We are developing a synthetic biology platform from genetically modified microorganisms and suitable bioreactor systems.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WITH US:

  • Help with the planning and implementation of special enzymatic reactions to characterize and optimize the catalytic activity
  • Investigations into the enzyme kinetics of different isoforms of an enzyme
  • Sample preparation and analysis using HPLC
  • Evaluation of the analysis and creation of result reports
  • Support of the Department of Operative Research
  • Insights into the exciting work environment of a biotech start-up
  • Topic of the master thesis: Comparative investigation of different enzyme isoforms with regard to enzyme activity and catalytic efficiency (implementation of enzyme assays after heterologous expression in E. coli)

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Master’s degree in biology, microbiology, biotechnology, molecular genetics or similar
  • Microbiological, molecular biological and bioanalytical laboratory experience
  • Enjoyment of method development and optimization
  • High level of initiative and analytical thinking skills
  • Very good German and English language skills
