Synbionik is an innovative and expanding biotech start-up that specializes in the production of natural substances through biosynthesis. We are developing a synthetic biology platform from genetically modified microorganisms and suitable bioreactor systems.


  • Support of the team in the Department of Operative Research – Molecular Biology Laboratory
  • Performing molecular biological cloning work
  • Cultivation and cultivation of microorganisms
  • Production of competent cells and transformation
  • Independent implementation and documentation of experiments
  • Takeover of general tasks within the framework of laboratory organization
  • Support of the team in everyday laboratory work


  • Successfully completed training as a (biology) laboratory assistant, biological-technical assistant or, if applicable, completed bachelor’s degree in biotechnology
  • First practical laboratory experience in the field of molecular or microbiology
  • Experience in cloning (PCR, restriction, ligation, transformation, sequencing)
  • Enjoyment of the practical work in the laboratory and the independent execution of experiments
  • Precise working methods as well as a high degree of motivation and commitment, cooperation skills, creativity and team spirit for work in an interdisciplinary, scientific environment
  • Ability to work in a team and a high level of initiative
  • Good written and spoken German and English
